It's a . . .

We had an ultra sound appointment yesterday and it was such a relief to see a healthy baby on the screen! I can't believe all the things that are already in place at just 20 weeks! We saw two little legs and arms, two hands with tiny fingers, and a cute but slightly blurry profile. We also saw the baby's brain and cerebellum and heart, including four beating chambers! Not only that, at times we could see the baby move around and even suck a thumb. The tech said she could see the bladder, but I didn't! And last, but not least, we also found out that we are having a little GIRL! Big sister and big brothers are thrilled. So are we! Now all we need to do is think up a name . . . Feel free to give us suggestions, but don't be upset if we choose something different :)

Oh, Paula! Congratulations! (did I spell that correct?) I am thrilled for you. I can defintely give you some name suggestions...I like this Hebrew name "Liat" (I think it means "you are mine") it is pronounced "lee-aught". I will add more as I think of them. With joy, Jen
PS Jeff suggested "Velveteen"

Paula, here is how Chris and my brain's think differently. The first thing he said when I told him was, "I am sure that Elena is excited," and the first thing I said was, "Well at least they won't have to convince Joel that they are not having a girl." We will be giving you a call here today as we really need to get together with you guys. It has been far too long. As for names I like Adaya pronounced (ah DAY ah) it is Hewbrew for precious charm of God and Caitlyn pronounce
(kayt lin) it is Gaelic for Pure and also Kaydence or it can be spelled Cadence pronounced
(kay dense) which mean rhythm. Okay I will call you later on.

OK, I understand that the purpose of this post is to inform and solicit input from our friends, but still, I wanted to put in my two cents worth. So, the name that I have in mind is Seven. Of course I am having a hard time thinking of a good middle name to go with it.

Wow! Interesting names!
I'm so excited it's a girl! How fun. I can't wait to see you! Congratulations!

I'll be thinking up some good names for you, but they'll probably be more traditional choices. Were you looking for something unique?

Congrats!

You know Jar Jar could be a girl's name too.

I'm recommending you disregard any ideas from Lefty or my husband (who seems to have a preference for Old Testament names that have more syllables than I can generally count).

I'm overly fond of Marah myself. Not that I plan on having any more kids to use it on. Perhaps a dog once we get Caleb's allergy issues a little more settled.

Melissa, the name Seven is a biblically important number... OK, really, the name comes from Seinfeld. It was a name that George wanted to name his kid if he ever had one.

Thanks everyone for the name suggestions (I think :), What a creative group and so many names I would never have thought of. Did I mention the kids' suggestions? Ethan said he doesn't know, but Joel recommended Annabelle and Isabelle. Elena recommended Lila or Lily and my mom told me that her grandmother once suggested Dorcas. So I guess we have a few more names to add to the list.
