Without this day there would be no Easter, no Resurrection Sunday. I guess that's why I've come to love the Good Friday service and when I miss it,I find it harder to enter into the amazing joy of the Resurrection. The thing that struck me tonight was how all the Scriptures shine light on the others that are read. So, if you're curious about what I mean read these four passages:
Isaiah 52:13-53:12
Psalm 22:1-11
Hebrews 10:1-25
John 18: 1-40, 19:1-37
