Things I forgot . . .

There are things about having a newborn that it is easy to know and yet forget what it is like until you're actually living it.
Here are just a few:

The amazing amount of laundry a less than 8 pound person can create. We've already had to wash little people clothes and our sheets and baby blankets.

What it feels like to go an entire day not really knowing what I accomplished that day and yet feeling like it was busy.

How soft a newborn's skin is.

Functioning on interrupted sleep is a lot different than having a full night sleep.

How easy it is to spend a long time just sitting and holding a cuddly baby.

How amazing it is to see her minature toes, fingers and facial features.

The amount of water I easily down when I'm nursing. I think I'm averaging at least 64 ounces or 2 liters.

There are many things I can do one handed or with a baby in my arms.

The surreal feeling of knowing that just one week ago I was pregnant and now its hard to imagine that this is the same little person that used to kick me from the inside.

The funny way having a newborn makes time fly and yet stand still ( I can hardly believe she is already a week old, it can't be that long).

Awww - sometimes I want another so bad I almost think I could deal with the sleepless nights. I'll just have to settle for borrowing snuggles from others :)

Pizza and playing at the Velez's sounds great to us!
