Our little one was recently given a new perspective on things, literally. A couple of weeks ago I took her in to have her vision checked by an eye specialist because she has an eye that crosses in sometimes. At first, when we got there, her eye looked perfectly normal and I was thinking, "Really, her eye crosses in. I'm not making this up." But I didn't need to worry because after having her eyes dilated and several tests, it was very obvious which eye was the problem eye. The prognosis: accomodative estropia or an occasional lazy eye. The treatment: eye glasses and patch therapy for 4-6 hours every day. We are just beginning the glasses journey and I've spent a bit of time looking for the perfect patch on the internet. Finally settled on one which looks like a dog or "woof, woof" as the baby would say. Anyway, we are adjusting to the whole idea and I'm sure I'll get used to seeing her in glasses even though it seems strange right now. She's still a little cutie, isn't she?

Aye!
A most happy (however belated) birthday to you!
A birthday prayer #50 for you from the BCP 830: O God, our times are in Your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on Your servant Paula as she begins another year. Grant that she may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen her trust in Your goodness all the days of her life; through Jesus Christ our LORD. Amen.
She is absolutely a cutie - and a sweetheart!
